Set up multi server dns

Hello,

I have directadmin installed on a server.
This server is also primairy DNS server.
the secondairy dns server is on other server.

No i have bought another server where i'm gonna install directadmin.
I want to use multi server setup.SO i dont have to add records or synch it with the primairy nameserver.

If i take for example:
www.testdomain.com for the primary server.

When installing directadmin on the second server i also have to give a hostname. Can this be the same domain or does this have to be a different domainname. If a different domainname is needed.
Can i use then ns2.testdomain.com or do i need to make a NS for the different domainname.

Can someone tell me step by step how to set this up or point to a document that provides this information?

A hostname cannot be the same as a domain name, but it's simpler than it seems.

www.example.com and example.com are the same domain name, but ns2.example.com is NOT the same.

So it's okay to use ns2.exaple.com as your hostname.
