Setting custom httpd per VH entry

Hi,

I'd like to be able to change the custom httpd configuration on a per virtualhost entry basis, so we can change things for specific subdomains. Is this a lot to ask? We are working with Ruby on Rails alot and there are some things that need to be set in the httpd-file, but not for all subdomains.
