setting up subdomain for email

Hello I have a new task and te last admin left me this bagage.

He has a email server configured with subdomains. [email protected]
How do I configure the DNS records so mail for these domains is correctly forwarded ?

Add a mx record for the sub domain in the dns control, but the subdomain must be added as a domain on account not just in the subdomain section.
