Please explain with some example since I am fairly new to this.

While user mr.applesauce is becoming known for the bluntness of his responses, the fact is that if you're not experienced with the creation and use of shell commands you risk severely impacting your server, even to the point of destryong all your data.

You should make sure you've backed up your server and that you double check your work every step of the way.

While scripts you find on the Internet, even on the DirectAdmin site, may work for others, ultimately you are responsible for implementing them on your server, and the damage that may cause.

The Bluntness Award

Perhaps the winner of the Bluntness Award could be determined by measuring how much of each contestant's starting pains have been forgotten, and thus giving the illusion that he or she is all-knowing, and like the immaculate conception recieved high status without the normal steps mere mortals must take.

Winners of the Bluntness Award could then run for High Elected Office.

I do not think for a moment that I am all knowing. But I do know how to read which is how I learned everything I know now. I still have a lot more to read to be all knowing but I am getting there one book/website at a time. I can usually find the answer to any question I have faster by searching rather than waiting for a reply in a forum. Most of my questions have already been asked and answered by someone.

The bluntness expressed by some here is when someone has obviously jumped to asking the question here without doing one bit of research themselves. I am not talking about anyone specific, just in general.
