setup mail account

how can i setup an mail account for the server name???

my server is server.servername.com and i will an e-mail account [email protected]

every other mail account is not a problem, but for the servername i can't find how to setup?????

In DirectAdmin User Level ( admin or other ) click on DomainAdministration.
Create server.xxxx.com then create email for it.

I believe the above to be a bad answer; DirectAdmin specifically warns that the server name should not be set up as a domain on the server and that doing so will break email.

I believe you can set up a user from the command line, and that user can accept email at the server name.

But I haven't tested it.
