Server specs:
AMD opteron 270
tyan thunder k8se
6X 18.2 GB U160 scsi drives, 15k
2 disks in raid 1 for the OS
4 disks in raid 5
- 2 lv's, lv1 = var1 mounted to /var, lv2 = home1 mounted to home
Centos 4.3, 64-bit
2 GB DDR400 redundant, buffered ECC
I don't run a webhosting company. I have my own colocated server for some of my websites.
The problem:
When i add more than 1 domain to the standard shared IP, the performance goes down very bad. Pages load much slower, and FTP sessions get timed out, or transfers also go very slow.
Is this a known problem?
