Sharing my hosting

Hello

I have a hosting with 500 mb, and a domain - www.a.com (as an example)
I want my share those 500 mb with my friend, so I've created a subdomain - b.a.com, and created an ftp account for it
Everything seems to be fine, he cannot access my files through FTP
BUT if he uploads a shell (like phpRemoteView), he is able to view, edit, and delete my files
Is there any way to limit his access to /domains/a.com/public_html/b/ ?

No. Subdomains have the same passwords and permissions as the main domain.

He needs his own account for you to both have security from each other.

How about some .htaccess stuff?
Can I limit rights of php scripts in a particular folder using .htaccess?
 
While it's laudable that you want to help your friend with his own site, the hosting company you've bought hosting from has set meaningful limits on their server to avoid overselling and offer a good level of service to all customers.

I'd strongly suggest contacting them to see what they allow.
