Hi
I am loosing customers that are going over to other hosting company with SiteBuilder. Are you loosing?
So we really need to find good solution for this!
Have someone used
http://sitemagix.com/
how are the response from users?

Is there any other good solution for DirectAdmin?

Are CMS solutions considered site builders? I would think so since its just a matter of installing them via a script installer and there are plenty of templates for them.

No!
Product like installatron will not do! In installatron you have to chose WordPress then login as admin, find template, install template, figure out how to use WordPress.
I am talking about users that do not know WordPress exist!!
It have to be maximum simple:
chose design and color
Input company name
input email for contact form
etc.

We are talking about clients that have zero html knowledge and very little computer knowledge.

I have never seen ANY site builder for that type of user.

All the site builders I have tried are at least as complicated as the CMS scripts. And the simpler ones are very limited in what they can do.

I wouldn't be interested in the type of "client" that would only choose me because I had site builder as an offering. They're going to be "freebee" clients from the word go.

I agree with floyd - you can get a wordpress or joomla site up fairly quickly now.

Hi.... here is twitt from some minutes ago:
EASY Webbhotell | Komplett webbhotell med gratis SiteBuilder: http://www.easywebbhotell.se/ via @addthis

If you follow what's happening you will see more and more hosting company offering SiteBuilders...

Are we going with the train or stay behind?

If you want a site builder then go buy one. Its not a DirectAdmin issue.

There's a flash-based site builder announced by DirectAdmin on these forums. It's free to DirectAdmin users. Search for it.

Walo,

We've been thinking about offering Website Builder ourselves; have you personal experience with it? Is it any good?

Jeff

I wanted to do it too...problem I find is most of them lack on the templates they have. They all look really horrible to me and its not worth the money.

I agree, scsi. And for those clients we offer a $500 (or so) solution using a low-priced local vendor and a decent template vendor.

The website http://sitemagix.com/ no longer exists.

http://www.easywebbhotell.se/ is not in English so I can not review it. Could not find a way to get it into English either.

http://www.resellerclub.com/products/website-builder is the right idea but not for DirectAdmin. The OP of this post wants, as do I, something that would work on our own servers. This website is for hosting and building on their website. Not the intended goal at all.

stop trolling and opening old threads!!!!!!!!!!

stop trolling and opening old threads!!!!!!!!!!

I did a forum search for the information I am looking for. That is what your SUPPOSED to do. If you search every thread and you find outdated information your SUPPOSED to comment on a dead thread and it will be locked by a moderator so it can not be commented on. They can't lock threads and keep dead posts or irrelevant information if they are not informed. In stead of complaining how about you add to the solution? Be positive and not negative. It helps not only you but everyone else as well.

This thread is now closed; if you wish, you may continue the discussion here or here but only post in one of these threads.
