Hello Members,

I am having a problem with my server and it didn't happen until I created a reseller account. I bought another brand (company) and wanted to created the reseller account. I provided 6 IP's for the account so it would have a ded. IP for the domain, ns1, and ns2, and it seems that since I have done that the nameservers for my main brand don't resolve. My server provider said I need to bind the first companies IP's to the server in order for them to resolve as "apparently" the 2 IP's I used for the nameservers originally weren't bound to the server. They told me named wasn't functioning correctly. The site and my DA login can be accessed via the IP's but dns/mail isn't resolving. Not sure why. I hope that you can help with this.

I am not sure why the new reseller account started the issues if anyone has any ideas can they please send them.

I am also asking if someone can help me and give me the command to bind ip's to a server. I have never had any problems until a week ago when I added the reseller account and I got the control panel because I am not "linux" minded. I am not good with command prompt at all.

If anyone has any other idea's on why this is happening, please post them.

Regards,

EDIT:

I have some logs to show. These are from exim which seems to be stopping on it's own as of the last week

Here is a few logs from the System Messages logfile:

I have no idea what any of this means. I replace the IP's that were listed with "IP" so that was a IPv4 IP there but I took it out for security measures. I just want to get my server and DA to run correctly and I am hoping people can help me with this. If someone has the instruction to fix this issue or possibly wants to work for me as a troubleshooter on a pay per problem payrate please msg me or leave me your contact information. If this is something someone wants to just leave a few instructions as I don't think it's very much work then please just list what I need to do. I really appreciate the help

no ideas?

So no one has any ideas about my problem? any? I'm even open to some thoughts out loud. Anything that come's to mind when you read this problem.

All you need to do is add the IP's in the admin control panel (not the reseller panel) - then assign them all to that reseller.

The internals of DA will handle binding them to the server. It's designed to make life easier, not more complicated :)
