Slow connection

Hello!

I own a webhosting company and we offer a customer some database space.

On my personal computer the server is really fast. But at the school who rents some serverspace it is very slow. After some refreshes the problem disappeared. But why is this so slow? The sysadmin has whitelisted the IP on port 2222 UDP and TCP.

Hardly can anybody here know the answer. There might be numerous reasons on the issue you face. It's not a good idea to guess and make any suppositions. So if you want a real help then kindly provide real data, including IP or domain. Or use public speed-testing services for debugging the issue yourself, including ping, traceroute, etc. Finally use web-tools built in Firefox, Chrome to see timeline of a page loading.
