Slowdown downloading emails

My emails downloads in Microsoft Outlook are unusually slow, with the download process appearing to proceed in very small increments, almost byte by byte, even for 5MB emails. The problem occurs across the entire domain in directadmin

You should contact your host who is responsible for support to you.

This can have difference causes from your pc to the server the host is using, maybe low memory or high cpu usage, who knows.
And this forum is intended for support to Directadmin license holders, not hosting customers, sorry.
