Hi all,

I miss that we can set up SMTP in User Packages
1. Can not send e-mail
2. Can send so much e-mail or unlimited / Day

Or is there something I have missed

I can't say anything about, whether John would accept your feature request or not. But for now you can do it using

+ Ability to add your own package items
+ and user create pre/post scripts

Of course you'll need to have some programming skills, or hire somebody to do the job for you. Of course you won't find direct instructions on how to do that with SMTP by those links, I gave you. But with those links you can learn the idea how to implement what you need. That's it.

PM me for a quote, if you're interested, or wait here for a John's answer. Maybe somebody is eager to do it for free.

Hi Alex,
It's ok, it was only because I assumed that when you refer to something as it was because it was something that was straightforward.

As others have crotch here in the forum so there are many ISPs are beginning to limit customers' use of their SMTP server so there are more and more questions about how they can use our SMTP server, and therefore I want to restrict customers' use of it, so those who send very many e-mail also can get to pay for it, and to restrict spam

You can limit email on a per-user basis. Information is here, in the DirectAdmin knowledgebase.

Be careful, though; 0 means unlimited. We limit users we don't want to send email to 1.

Jeff

Many thanks to both Alex and Jeff, that together give me maybe an opportunity to do what I want
