Good day,

When I use Thunderbird and configure ' Outgoing Server (SMTP)' to a DA mail account, I don't set any username or password for the messages I want to mail. At this way I can send mail for any wished mail address I want.

Is this correct or is the server taking over the username/password from the pop3 account???
When not, how can I force DA to request any user/password athentication.

Regards,

Mike

DA authenticates all senders by IP#. It uses two methods...

1) If you or anyone using your IP# has recently requested email using POP or IMAP, then you can send email through the server.

2) If you set up your email client (your MUA) with a username and password then you can send email through the server.
