Hello,

We recently installed an SSL Certificate on one of our domains however the site is hosted on another server. Now, when some of my staff try to login to their email, they are getting this SnakeOil SSL Cert popup. This has just started happening today and we installed the certificate several days ago so I am not sure if it is related I am just assuming that it is.

The IP that the domain is on is shared and the reason I did not move it was because the business is running and I did not want the site to go down.

Any help with this?

Thanks!

Hello,

Provide your real domain name, so we could check it. Without that, I'd rather say you should refer to SnakeOil support or FAQ.

No idea what you mean. If the domain is hosted on another server, then where is the Certificate installed? I'd think it should be on the other server as well. So this sentence is confusing.

Now this begins to make some sense. You've got email on one server and the site on another?

The SnakeOil Certificate is the Certificate installed by default with Apache.

Where did you install the Certificate for this domain? Did you install it for a subdomain? What URL are your users using to log into their email? Do you have a main site for the domain set up on this server at all?

If you didn't set up an owned IP# for the site, then where did you install the Certificate?

User zEitEr is correct; having your domain name would be helpful.
