Hello,

I've a problem about receiving mails. Some mails are missing. Like i can send mail from my local machine to hotmail (also hotmail reports it as junk mail) but can't send to my server. Actually there is no error while sending.Sending is success but when i check my mailbox, i can't see the mail.

There is no spam or virus filter on the mail server.

Thanks.

Ok here is some things you should check.

First outgoing email been tagged as spam, you need a SPF record (DA should have taken care of this for you but can check on dnsreport.com) and next you need a reverse dns record for your ip(s) that forward resolves as well, this is probably why your email is been tagged as spam.

On incoming email it could be one of many thingss, but first check if the mx server is set correctly and all resolves right again this can be checked on dnsreport.com, then next check if you can see it in webmail if it shows up there then your email is actually arriving to your inbox and your problem lies with the pop3/imap protocol if the email isnt there then the email for some reason isnt been delivered. If it isnt delivered check your email logs /var/log/exim is the directory or you can load them inside directadmin, one possible cause for this might be spamassassin marking and rejecting them or something like clamav. If they show up in webmail then again check your logs and your email client. Its a process of investigating I am afraid and pinpointing the problem.
