Hi!

Recently I have transfered my old server to new one. Everything is O.K. but there is strange problem some email accounts for particular domains, are empty. The most strange thing is that for one domain, which has about 10 email accounts registered, 9 are O.K. but one is empty. Another strange thing is that when I log in to direct admin and go to email management, statistics shows that inbox is not 0 mb in size, it shows actual size and this makes me to think that old emails are O.K. and physically are on server, but I can't see them neither when authenticating through web interface, nor connecting through email client (Outlook and so on.).

Any ideas?

I don't know how to check it... I use custombuild, with dovecot and exim on FreeBSD.

Then you're using Maildir format. You may need to move files by hand.

Sorry for late answer. I've checked & emails are not deleted, they are still there, in the maildir of each user, I can view them via file manager, but they are not seen via web mail or via pop3/imap client. So how can I make them visible? how can I do "move files by hand"? should I copy them to other location and than copy back? or something else?

thanks.

It's going to take someone with administration experience to log into your system as root and try to figure it out. Please don't ask me; we don't do FreeBSD.
