Sometimes I get asked REALLY bizarre challenge questions. For example, what the hell's the answer to this:

√1522756 = _____

And how should I properly answer "one three five seven" ?! I've tried "two four six eight", "sixteen", "nine" ...

Also, whilst I'm on a rant, 1 kilobyte = 1000 bytes. 1 kibibyte = 1024 bytes. (The forum asks "how many bytes in a kilobyte" then expects 1024 as the answer.) ;)

Yes. It's a simple mathematical function, no hidden meanings, as ditto's link will tell you if you read far enough. While 42 isn't the answer, the method by which Adams chose it leads us to simple mathematics. You don't have to do square roots in your head, though; you can simply google it. Try it; just type square root of 1522756 into Google.

While I don't agree that the math functions should be this complex, I don't get to choose, and the whole point is to make it too complex for a spammer to be willing to take the time, even with human intervention.
