Someone please help

Hi Guys,

Ok, I wil br straight, Im not a tech and dont have a huge amount of knowledge but have had to come somewhere for help.

I work for a small company based in the UK, we have a website hosted by a company that use this direct admin service for setting up emails, webstats etc.

In the last couple of days we have had no email at all and when attempting to send email (the email is created in Outlook & then goes off through the mail.domain.co.uk) We get a message saying

"Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the sender: 421 Unexpected failure, please try later"

Ok, so I have used the "ticket" system to log an issue with the hosting company, but get no reply from them at all. I have whois searched the hosting company and called them and get no reply the line just rings and rings and ring.

I really could do with some assistance please if one of you guys or gals for that matter might be able to shed some light on the situation or even assist I would be very grateful.

The answers are found in the DirectAdmin knowledgebase, here, but only the server owner/administrator can implement them.

If your hosting company won't respond, and the problem continues to occur, then you might need to host elsewhere.

Thanks for your advice on that. I have now attempted to look at moving hosting company.

However, not being a tech guy at all, I now have a fantastic new great problem.

Our actual website now isnt even up, email still not working and to make matters worse the hosting companies website seems to have dissapeared of the face of the planet.

Im working on getting the back up copy of our actual site, but a new hosting company has told me that there is no way they would be able to do anything as such without having contact with the current hosting company.......... is that correct?

The current provider gives acess to a site called direct admin for making changes to email address and all the server details, but again, even this wont work this morning.

Any help would be very gratefully received along with then anyone how deals with hosting and can offer a good service.

Not wanting to name and be nasty, but my current provider is a company call Matrixx Hosting. I just need to be able to get everything working again and be able to getin touch with someone when we have a problem, that all we want from a new provider. Anyone help?

I see matrixxhosting.com coming up with no problem. Perhaps you coould give us the name of your web site and we can check that too.
