Ok, i'm going to expand to a whole new webserver and install a fresh copy of DirectAdmin on it which will install the Apache 1.x line by default. Now is there a good tutorial on how to go to 2.2.6 after I install DA? I've found a few different posts with different ways to do it, but its hard to tell which is the correct way..

This will be on a system with RHEL

Thanks!

Well, on your new server, choose custombuild instead of customapache and you'd get 2.2 by default.

andyreed,

I've done the same as the instructions on your referenced page many times and it's never upgraded me from 1.x to 2.x.

Does it really do that now?

jlasman,
It seems that I didn't read darkus question carefully  . That instruction was for an older system. We'll get that updated in our Knowledge Base tomorrow :)

does DA already able to install apache 2.2? check out their website.

I'm going to install for a new server tomorrow, let me see how is the new installer works.

Or you could just install custombuild. Then do a ./build update ./build update_data ./build all

Worked wonderfully for me. Of course, you could configure the config scripts first to customize your setup.
