SPAM Filter issues

I'm having issues with the SPAM filter. It is deleting emails that it shouldn't. I worked out it is due to the filter picking up the word to filter on even when it was part of another word. For example, the word analysis was causing email to be deleted because it contained a fairly obvious rude word.

I have since stopped using this filter because of this issue, and am in the process of looking for something else that does a better job.

Any thoughts about other filters?

Or is there a way to set up the SPAM filter to have a whitelist so that critical emails sent internally don't get deleted no matter what.

Is this the spam filter that comes with DirectAdmin or spamassasin?

Muzza and Jon,

We've had the same problem with several clients using the filter built into DA.

I'm recommending it not be used; among other things, it will block the U.S. Declaration of Independence.

Any thought's as a possible replacement, preferably one that allows a whitelist.

Read my post directly above yours. It's very simplistic and does hit on parts of words.

We recommend not using it.
