i now stopped exim because system get hot

is this a problem?

or is this happening bacause of my error wich is explained in http://directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21323

No, but this may help us solve your problem, since we finally have a complete error message:
require_files: error for /etc/virtual/petsplacetexel.nl/reply/scabora.msg: Permission denied
The reply directory is for autoreplies. Why does each of your email delivery attempts generate an autoreply? Is that something you've set up?

Can you post the output of:
Code:
# ls /etc/virtual/petsplacetexel.nl/reply/*
Jeff

Oh this thread :)

the problem is that it is empty and that it happens with all domains.
(sorry for the quick reply, i am just anxious)

[root@webserver1 /]# ls /etc/virtual/petsplacetexel.nl/reply/*
ls: /etc/virtual/petsplacetexel.nl/reply/*: Onbekend bestand of map
[root@webserver1 /]#

"Onbekend bestand of map" means unknown file or folder

i did not set it up to do this as far as i know

There is no way to send mail for any clients exept the main accounts wich are there after creation.
(e.g [email protected])
squirrelmail gives an auth error 535 Incorrect authentication data and telnet gives temp rejected

I understood the error message; thanks for translating for the rest of us ;) .

I don't know what's happening.

Can you reinstall exim from scratch?

Otherwise you might want to have DirectAdmin support look at it.

Jeff

Hi Jeff

i contacted DA support and they installed a new exim version

"Hello,

The exim binaries you were using were not ours.
I did an exim -bV to see what version it was, and this was at the bottom:

Configuration file is /etc/exim/exim.conf

ours is /etc/exim.conf, so the binary is looking in the wrong spot.

Also, the logs we use are /var/log/exim/mainlog .. while this binary is using /var/log/exim/main.log .. so they're definately not ours.
I've installed exim 4.68 for centos 4 from one of our binary packages.

Thank you,

John"

it works again.

Thank you all for the support!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spend all last day and night trying to fix this, i could not install exim thrue DA

Did i mention i wanted to thank you?

Thank you!

Thank John. He's the one who did all the hard work :) .

Thanks, John!
