Hi,

I have some trouble setting up SpamAssassin.
When I enable spam assassin I can choose what to do with the spam.
But when I select: "Send the spam to the user's spam folder." It basically creates a new folder called "spam" within the "inbox" folder.
For some reason, Apple Mail and outlook are using a 'top level' spam folder. At least, that is my guess.

Because when I select inbox, I can also see all the spam emails since it is a child folder of the inbox folder... And that is not really a thing you want with spam ;)

Why does this happen? And is there a way to configure this right?

Thanks in advance,

Sem

You can do one of those:
1 - Change in /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/options.conf webapps_inbox_prefix to no
2 - Set your fodler prefix in your mail client to "INBOX"

With option 1, the "standard fodlers" will not be part of the Inbox folder.
With option 2, you're just telling your mail client that the base path is "INBOX" so it will show the folders from that point and the mail client will be able to "match" the standard folders.

Best regards
