Spamassassin cronjob (for rules) still needed?

In earlyer days we installed spamassassin ourselfs.
Nowadays it can be enabled by options.conf in DA.

On our servers we still use cronjobs to update the spamassassin rules like when we manually installed spamassassin.
I presume this is still needed? Because I can't find any cronjobs made by custombuild to update the sa rules.
Or will automatic sa-update be part of custombuild 2.0?

My vote for the feature. I also would like to see sa-update in cron as a part of custombuild.
