Spamassassin upgrade

I upgraded spamassassin on my freebsd 5.x box and when I run spamd -V I get version 3.0.4.

When I check the headers of the email it still says 2.6.4

So, my question is which one is it? How do I get the email headers to match the spamd -V version?

Have you already killed SpamAssassin and Exim and restarted it again?

I tried ./spamd stop but got the error "Could not create INET socket on 127.0.0.1:783: Address already in use (IO::Socket::INET: Address already in use)"

So I didn't continue. Do I just use the kill command on the spamd process and then start it again with no worries?

That should be no problem. Just use "killall spamd", and then start it using the shell script.
