I couldn't find an answer quickly for this so decided to post instead.

High scoring spam? Spamassassin lets me indicate the a number for high scoring spam, does this mean the higher the number the more likely spam is blocked, or is it the lower the number???

Thanks in advance.
Daniel:)

With a lower spam score, you will get more spam delivered to your inbox but there is less of a chance that legitimate mail will be marked as spam. With a higher spam score, less spam will make it into your inbox but there is a greater chance that legitimate mail will get marked as spam.

False. It's exactly the opposite.

You are correct. I'll put this another way that makes more sense, as I obviously did not word it correctly the last time. :)

The spam score is the minimum score required to mark a message as spam. Raising this number will reduce "false positives" (messages incorrectly marked as spam) at the cost of increasing "false negatives" (spam which is not tagged as such), and lowering it will do the converse. The default setting is 5.

Sorry for the confusion, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. :)
