Specific user won't connect in Outlook new

I am breaking my head. A customer uses Outlook (new). When I add account [email protected] I receive the error "Something went wrong. Try again. You may need an app password". I did reset the password for this account already, no success.

Now I created the account [email protected] and the procedure works instant.

Looking for a brilliant idea 🤞

I did read it, but this is the procedure which worked for test@. But for info@ not. What I am wondering about is a double function, because the customer created an account @ Microsoft with the same info@ address.

I don't know either. However I do know that the new Outlook is having some odd issues.
It's the reason why I always advise my customers to keep away from the build in Microsoft mail stuff and use either Office Outlook or Thunderbird.
