SPF DNS Records and Directadmin

Hi,

I'd like to add a Sender Policy Framework DNS record and wanted to know whether directadmin supports SPF records or not. My understanding is that SPF requires that a preconfigured txt file is used but must be configured as a type 99 SPF DNS record.

The reason for requiring this is to prevent mailshot emails to our existing customers being less likely to be marked as spam/junk mail.

Is it possible to add SPF records in Directadmin? I can see that you can add txt records but I'm not sure whether this is type 99 or not.

Yes you can add them.

DirectAdmin should be creating SPF records for your newly added domains by default when it adds DNS. If not, check your templates and custom templates.

As mr.applesauce points out, you can add them as txt records.
