squirrelmail dead slow

squirrelmail dead slow, need help.

I was hoping someone might have some insight for me or how to troubleshoot this problem. My squirrelmail is running like a snail. It takes me over a minute to login. Once logged in it is ok most of the time except for when I click Inbox. My server has no load, no clients, and Truck MMcache installed. I have a custom and standard squirrelmail installed and they both run the same.

Any tips on how I can try to resolve this problem?

Only Squirrelmail runs slow or all php scripts?

You might want to disable any additional software (turck mmcache and so on) you might have installed and see if it works normally. If it does you can add program by program until you find the culprit.

Only squirrelmail, two different versions as well. Other PHP related stuff runs very fast. There are no active sites on this server yet.

Have you changed any of the config settings (conf.pl) or added any plugins?

I seem to remember server sorting and thread sorting played havoc on some installs.

I am using the stock config for the most part. I have 2 seperate installations.

1. Standard one with DA
2. Custom one with plugins.

Most of the problem seems to be logging in, clicking Inbox and Folders. They both work the same.
