Squirrelmail Upgrade Problem

Hi,
I upgraded squirrelmail yesterday based on some posts I found in this forum. I used /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/squirrelmail.sh. It seemed to run fine, but now I can't send email through squirrelmail. It seems to work fine otherwise, but obviously something is wrong with the smtp setting. I get "Connection refused 111 Can't open SMTP stream." when I try to send. I checked the config file and it says localhost as the smtp server, which I think is correct.

Any ideas? thanks so much.

(server is red hat enterprise, btw)

darn

Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried the suggestions there and no luck.

Other ideas?

Check your squirrelmail configuration to see if it's injecting mail directly or through smtp.

Make sure you're firewall settings allow Squiirrelmail to send.

Still no luck. Any more ideas? How can I delete the current version and reinstall?
