SSHD starts it self

Hello,

I allways have SSHD turned off but now my security run output contains invalid logins for SSHD which means something started it.

How can I find out why and when it started again?

My OS is freebsd. uptime 65 days

Did you stop it through DirectAdmin or console? Unless you stop it through DA, DA will try to restart it. Also, change your SSH port and 99.99% of those login attempts will stop.

I allways stop it true DA.
I found it also in the yesterdays log file. DA just restarted all the services but I don't see a DA crash. Maybe i'm overlooking something.

Check the file:

/usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/services.status

and make sure sshd=OFF
