I currently have two IPs on my server tied in with DA. I recently started a business last year and instead of putting it on its own IP, i tied the website in with my main IP which shares hosting among 8-10 other websites.
Because of this, I am unable to assign a SSL Certificate to it because it is not on its own IP. Also, the domain is hosted at 1and1 and i changed the nameservers in the domain configuration to point to my server so the website would work.
My question is this, if I change my business website and move it to the current FREE IP, how long will it take down the website? Meaning, how long will my website not work on its domain? Would I have to make any changes to the domain at the registrar?
Any assistance would be great!
