Hi

I have installed ssl certificate but when i monitor website by firefox i have this error:

www.mydomain.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided.

How i can fix issue?

Yea it is tough getting SSL certs setup, every system is a little different.

When I am trying to figure it out I find this testing tool to be a great help:

http://www.digicert.com/help/

Just put in the site you want to check and it tests if the SSL cert is working the way it should and if not you can see what the problem is.

Hi

I am having the same issue "uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided."

I have installed the CA Root Certificate, what else could I be doing wrong?

Thanks
Shaw

Not to hijack the thread but...

I'm having a very similar issue. I tried pasting a private key, cert and CA cert generated on a different server into DA. Though DA said it was fine, the server continued to use the host's shared wildcard cert and the host told me if it wasn't working it wasn't installed correctly.

So I generated a new CSR, reissued the cert from Comodo, but I can't get DA to update the private key -- it's stuck on the old key and cert. I can't get rid/erase them. I also try to past the new cert with no private key and it gives me an error 'no key found'. I paste the new cert with the old key and it actually takes it but I still get the host's shared wildcard cert (it doesn't work).

How do I find/use the key that was created by DA when I did the CSR?

Thank you!
john.

If you think, that you did all that was possible, ask cert issuer for help. I can try and do it myself for you for a fee, but I have no idea what is wrong. Or you might want to hire somebody else.

How do I find/use the key that was created by DA when I did the CSR?

You can not restore key, if you've lost it and have no copy.

There are two ways to delete the old key:

You can create a self-signed Certificate, which will delete the old private key and create a new one, or you can find it through the shell and delete it there.

Either way, a new Certificate will only work with the private key that created it, so hopefully you've saved it.
