I'm not too sure what happened or what went wrong where but I know that the number of connections via HTTPD went through the roof and also the load was about 60 or so.
After seeing that, I tried to stop EXIM, MYSQLD and HTTPD. After fighting with the server to take the command, it finally did (I did it via DirectAdmin CP as I couldn't login via SSH).
The load and etc went directly down after this and so I looked around via ssh to see what's the problem or which person(s) did this to the server. After a period of time, I tried to put exim and mysqld back on. It all went fine. So, I tried httpd as well. I did this via SSH now. Everything went fine but when I tried to login to the directadmin control panel via IE, it gives me "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
Tried restarting DirectAdmin service quite a few times yet it still showing this problem.
Did anyone face this problem before? How do you resolve this without having to restart the server or something? Mind giving some insights to this problem?
Thanks a bunch.
