My apache server often die. My access_log is show that there are some strange request from ip ::1. Is there anyway to fix this. Sorry for my bad English skill

On http://www.x-hosted.nl/server-status/ it shows lots of;

::1 www.example.com GET /

Requests in the request list. I have no idea where this is comming from.

It seems we are having some sort attack and this is called get attack.

You'd better do an upgrade to apache 2 and php 5 because php4 is end-of-life this month, and apache 1.3 also.

I try to upgrade to php4 & apache 2 several times but everytime it's failed.

So I have to stay with php4 until custombuild is stable.

If you have any good recomendation plase advice. My Linux Knowledgement is baby size. With some instruction I'm sure I can follow but I can't start.

Hopfully some people will help me stable in Linux World too.

I don't know what's going on, but maybe this helps in your seach:

::1 is in IPv6 the same as 127.0.0.1 in IPv4; your localhost.
So on your host there is probably a process that requests a certain page using IPv6.
