hey , i have noticed some strange thing in exim: have a look :(/var/logs/exim/mainlog)
2004-11-29 21:44:41 1CYsNq-0004AV-P7 ** [email protected]: Unrouteable address
2004-11-29 23:10:28 1CYtix-0006ls-Rh ** [email protected] R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: retry time not reached for any host after a long failure period
2004-11-29 23:13:02 1CYtlR-0006q2-8h => [email protected] R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp H=smtp.wp.pl [212.77.101.160] X=TLSv1:AES256-SHA:256

which fault it could be that host wp.pl wasnt recognized?
my DNS server fault?
how to change a 'retry time while looking for a host to longer' in exim

"unrouteable address" generally means the server can get an IP# for the address but that the routers on the Internet can't find the IP#.

This can happen when a server or router is offline, either permanently or temporarily, or a bgp router is advertising incorrect information.

The best place to begin troubleshooting unroutable addresses is the upstream to the company you can't reach, though sometimes your own upstream provider will help you.

By default exim waits several days before it gives up; wouldn't that be enough for you?
