Stumbling Email Delivery to Cell Phone

Greetings all. First post here. Hope someone can help me understand a problem that developed a couple of weeks back.

About a year ago I got my own small domain in order to publish some research materials. The host provides DA, and using it I created a bunch of email accounts in that domain for me and other family members, not to mention a couple of spamtrap identities. From the first day I was always able to retrieve email from any of the accounts in my domain using outlook or squirrel mail on any computer, or the built-in email client on my cell phone, a Nokia N90.

A couple of weeks ago, email header downloads from my domain email accounts to my cell phone began to fail -- I'd get the most recent email header on the screen, then the download would hang and disconnect. If I reconnected, I'd get the next email header and another hang. I'd never get the email itself; it looks as though the Nokia client won't download a message until it has first processed all available headers.

This does not look like a phone problem. My other email accounts from other email servers (Verizon, for example) function as usual on my cell phone. My Verizon mailbox will download all headers top to bottom without a hitch, then retrieve the messages. Gmail is not a problem. The only accounts that have delivery hitches are the ones I set up with the DA software.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on here or how to fix it? If it helps to frame an answer, I'm a semi-informed amateur. On the 10-point scale of clueless goof to IT professional, I think I'm about a 6-6.5

Is it a coincidence that this problem started just about the time version 1.311 was released?

Thanks for any assistance.

I suggest you check with your hosting company to see what changes, if any, they may have made around that timeframe.
