Hello,
For any further reference to this thread, i had previously asked a similar question to which I received a suitable reply. Although the answer helped me for a short duration, it hasn't really helped over the course of time.
You can find the thread here

So the problem in short is that whenever i add sub-domains to my server, direct-admin gives up on me.
My server admin suggested to change certain settings within the log files and with a little help from JMStacey, i managed to do that right.
Now i have around 3500 Sub-Domains on my server on a Pentium 4, 2.8 GHZ server. If i add a few more sub-domains, port 80 hangs up, whereas i can still access port 2222
So when i go onto delete those additional sub-domains, port 80 is back, funtioning well and dandy.
I definetely cannot afford another server, and what's worse is I fear that if i change my control panel to let's say plesk, cpanel or any other. I may have to format the disks, re-install everything and add those 3500 plus sub-domains yet again which for me would be burying myself alive.
Any suggestions on what could be done?
Please take a moment to go to the thread above to understand exactly what the problem is.
Best Regards
Amit
