I've been having this problem with my subdomains that I have setup everytime I setup a subdomain it seems like it just goes to the base folder for the main account to the admin account instead of the user I have tried uploading different file sinto the user directories such as /home/username/public_html since thats where it goes and it doesn't help at all.

Anyone know how to fix this.

I take it you're definitely settiing up the subdomain from the user's own account?

Sounds impossible, but I thought I'd ask.

The way apache works... if anything resolves to a certain IP, but there is no virtualhost to handle the name used (on that IP), it will default to show the first virtualhost on the IP.

The server IP will point to /var/www/html
Shared IPs will point to the reseller who owns them:
/home/reseller/domains/shared/
And owned IPs will be the only virtualhost, so they will only be able to point to the correct public_html path.

Your above case doesn't really fit any of the above scenarios.. maybe check your admin's httpd.conf file for any customizations possibly done, as in extra ServerAlias directives, etc.. (Admin Level -> Custom httpd configurations)

and make sure the subdomain resolves to the IP that DA is using in the httpd.conf file.
