Subdomain points to domain

I run a forum site and want to setup a seperate subdomain for mobile users. I would like to create a subdomain of wap.* and still use the same files and mySQL db as the main domain. So basically I want wap.* to forward to the main domain, but still keep the wap. The reason is because I am using an addon so that if the forums are accessed via a certain domain, it forces the client to use a different style (in this case a mobile version). Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

My luck, post this and then figured out the problem. My htaccess file was setup to force www. redirect. Removed it and working, this thread can be deleted.
