Hello -

I have a domain name test.com, customer wanted to use two SSL certificate one in www.test.com and another one at www2.test.com, how we can achieve that , I have a subdomain like www2.test.com

I dont wanted to use wildcard SSL as we have EV SSL , which we wanted to use.

1. You should host domain and sub domain in sepreate place. Then buy diffrent IP and SSl and setup them
2. In other hand you could buy WILD SSL and setup for both. I think WILD SSL is a bit expensive.

We use a wild card ssl and setup as directadminuser.server.net for our clients, no additional ip needed. You can find wildcard SSLs for about $95/yr.

Each ssl needs its own ip address and you must setup the subdomain as an actual domain in domain manager.

Hey chatwizrd - I know each ssl needs its own IP I know all that - my question is how I can install ssl for that subdomain thats my main concern as I already have SSL setup for my main domain therefore , how I am going to setup a SSL for my subdomain as I dont see any options in for creating SSL for subdomain ?

As far as I know there are two type of EV SSL Certificate

EV SSL Certificate will secure only single domain and Multi Domain EV SSL will secure number of domain and sub domain

If you have already common EV SSL then you can’t secure your addition domain. In this case you must need multi domain EV SSL.

I have setup a subdomain in domain manager now how I can specify the IP to that particular subdomain ?
As I said before, you should setup the subdomain as an actual domain (hosted on different space, account and IP) or use WILD SSL that be able you use multi domain on one SSL.
