Subdomains problem

Hi, first I would like to suggest that in the subdomain option, users can be able to select wich directory they want on their subdomains.

Now there is my problem, I add a subdomain, and then in my httpd.conf of admin user (cause my domain is on admin user) I change the vhost settings to select the directory that I want. The only thing is that it works BUT it's kind of real slow to get access to the page... Is there any log I can check, or maybe a good solution?
