Hi
I am used to cpanel, and I know how to setup a subdomain on cpanel. On cpanel I would create a subdomain http://topsite.invisionplus.net and then I could upload my site and configure my site to use that sub-domain. I want to do just that in DA, but I don't know how in DA?

Basically I wish to do this:
* have my topsite on the subdomain:
http://topsite.invisionplus.net
* and I want to place the site in my folder called topsite
* and then I configure my topsite to use http://topsite.invisionplus.net as the URL
How please, I can't seem to get it to work myself? I have gone to subdomains -> created a new topsite.invisionplus.net subdomain and have configured my topsite to use that URL. But it doesn't work?! I put it down to my lack of being used to DA. Please help?
Thanks.

Yes, thanks for that link. I have already looked at that, and I have already done as it says. I have also already uploaded the files to the directory in that position. :D

It's just not working? :(
Thanks.

Agreed.

Didn't work for me.

So I created a new domain uder user >> subsite.domain.com

Works fine

Hmm...I could do that. I did an extensive search before I posted this, and other people have also been having problems. This feature seems completely silly then. I wish someone who successfully managed to get a subdomain working in this way would help.:(

Creating Subdomains through "Subdomain Management" is working just fine for me on Debian.

If you'd like, PM me login details for a temporary user account with a real domain and I'll test it out.

Thank you. I have tried it on our other invisionplus server (invisionplus.com) and it still doesn't work. :( I'll PM you the details. Thanks.

It works properly for me, too, on CentOS. What OS are you using, Alk?

Jeff

Well, I thought it would be under "System Information" but it's not :( .

You'd have to ask your hosting company.

Jeff

He sent me a tempoary login to the user account and I was able to create a subdomain like usual.
You can see it here:

It wasn't working www previously but it seems that it's now working :)

Could you explain to me how you did that please?
Because I have just created a subdomain:
http://hello.invisionplus.com
and it just says "page cannot be displayed". I have also uploaded an index.html into the subdomain folder. Could you check if I have done it correctly please and why it isn't working?
Thanks.

It might be an issue with your browser or isp or you figured it out because it's working for me. The page displays
