Just a quickie, a question so basic that Googling seems to not be much help (Funny how that works isn’t it?).
Is it possible to make a subdomain in DirectAdmin use a folder other than a namesake folder beneath the main domain? For example, if I create files.domain.com it seems the files must be in domain.com/files, which is a bit of a tricky one as the domain already has a /files/ folder used for other things.

EDIT:
This was a copy-paste question, I didn't have time to write it. :P
Soo... can we change this?

You can change the apache config files or point them both to the same directory (and splitting it with rewrite rules (using a .htaccess file)).

We're looking for a more permanent solution... Like a subdomains folder, which is generated automatically...
If you have many subdomains, your main folder gets crowded.

DirectAdmin's system for creating subdomains with no other functions automatically uses the subdomain name as the directory name under public_html. If you create a subdomain as another domain it will create an entire domain tree.

Or you can do anything you want manually, or by creating a script to run to make changes, perhaps as part of a plugin.
