If you restore the backup through directadmin, make sure the backup file's ownership is set to same as the user who do the restore or the user may not have permission the extract the file.
It seems you are restoring under the user "babefish", make sure
'/home/tmp/myexhost/babefish.tar.gz' is owned by babefish, and the folder where babefish.tar.gz is located is accessible by the user.
