suPHP to FastCGI on shared server

For several reasons I want to switch from suPHP to FastCGI on our shared hosting server running DA. I'm a bit anxious to just follow this https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=520 guide because it's a busy server. Can anyone tell me if I might run into problems doing this? And if yes, do you have any advice on how to fix these so I won't get in trouble with our customers?

I'm running CentOS 7 + Cloudlinux

Hi,

If you have Cloudlinux I recommend using lsphp mode.

Thank you for your reply. I will look into this. Can you also explain a bit more why? And my question is more regarding the effects of the change, can you say anything about this? Should this be without any problems (lsphp or FastCGI)?

Hi,

I have CentOS 7 like you, I was using mod_php, after upgraded to Cloudlinux, I switch to lsphp without any problem. I think it should be fine for FastCGI too.
