Hi,

Will there be any support for OpenLiteSpeed in DA?

It would great for VPSes and small dedis with 8 GB or less RAm where a LiteSpeed Enterprise license is not needed. Would you support that in the future?

Also, is there/will there be an option to disable email from the user control panel? For many sites, email is not needed. If can be disabled, it would elimitae the need for SpamExperts/Mailchannels outgoing spam filtering, hence lower the overall cost to manage a server.

Regards,
Meiji

Hi Meiji,

Using CSF/LFD you can enable SMTP_BLOCK, this will deny direct connections from PHP (over sockets) to remote SMTP. CSF/LFDD can be managed in Directadmin interface.

Then you cat limit all users to allow only 1 emails to be sent daily, do not set it to 0, as it means unlimited here.

In a theory you can even stop and remove Exim, and close TCP 25 in both directions with the same CSF/LFD.

So, yes, it is possible to disable emails from users and the whole server.

If you put it that way, everything would be possible in linux. But that would not be for an average joe.

How about putting a button in the user/reseller/admin control panel to disable email with one clieck?

DirectAdmin does not have a button for this. So you've got 3 options:

1. use the method suggested above
2. or post a feature request and wait for an official solution
3. write a plugin for it or hire somebody for this job.

With CSF/LFD you can close TCP 25 in DirectAdmin interface and click "stop" for Exim at Admin level. So it is only 2 actions easy can be done even by an average joe.
