I have few DA server. I always received system message as below:
Subject: The service 'httpd' on server server4.myexhost.com is currently down
This message has been automatically generated notifying you that the service httpd is currently down.
I found out tat the system can auto inform me when there is service down, why dont system auto restart the service for me if system detected the service down?
It does if it can. You only get the message if it cannot restart the service. This is so you know there is a problem and you need to login and figure out why its not restarting.
