system upgrade

Hi everybody,

I have been asked to upgrade a DA installation from sarge to etch.

As I am new to DA I have some questions.

1) How log will it take?
I know that this is a vague question, but I hope that someone can give me an idea, so that I can offer a timeframe to my customer.

2) How do I do it?
I know, this is the best question ever
I have found http://tools.supernamechange.com/ an I think, it will do the work. Should I give it a try or is there another way to manage the upgrade? Would it be better to set up a fresh machine with a fresh DA in order to move the existing clients to the new machine?

I would be very happy, If somone can give me a hint on helpful documents.

I don't do whole-version upgrades on working servers. Perhaps that's just me, but I don't.

Anyone else?

I don't know if you'll need a new license for DA when upgrading from Sarge to Etch; you may want to ask DirectAdmin sales department.
