Hi,

I (the admin of the server) own the domain 'xxx.nl'. I have some users using a subdomain "user.xxx.nl". However one user would like to have an other subdomain so here is the problem:
When he adds "sub.xxx.nl" to his account using the Domain Administration he get's the error "The domain xxx.nl does not belong to you" wich make sense because he doesn't own that domain :).

however i can't find a way for me to add it. Am i just blind or is that not possible?

thanks,

Mattie

I wouldn't such things that make that kind of sense if I were you.
If you change that, all your users can make subdomains which do not belong to them. That does not seems like a good idea.

I also enabled the subdomain creation restriction, but it also bugs me that I as admin can't override it. Sometimes I just disable it, add a subdomain and enable it again. (It is also on Administrator Settings in the control panel, no need to set it in the .conf manually)

As admin, you can select the user, login as the user and create the subdomain without problems.

But your method is also possible.:)

That's not my experience. If that is possible I'd say the protection feature isn't enabled. Also as admin I can't create a user with a subdomain of an other users domain.
