The service 'directadmin' is currently down

Hello

I have decided to discontinue using directadmin panel for some time. So I just did not update my license. Now I get numerous emails telling me that directamin is down:

The service 'directadmin' on server mail.mydomain.com is currently down

In my log files for

/var/log/directadmin/error.log

I repeatedly get

Unable to read the license file

and in

/var/log/directadmin/errortaskq.log

I get the following lines repeatedly

service directadmin wasn't running, starting it
service directadmin didn't start, re-starting it

Could anyone please tell me how I can safely shut down directadmin for some time without being bombarded by email alerts about it being down?

Hello,

just change the

directadmin=ON

to

directadmin=OFF

in
/usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/services.status file
